Here are sketches of my VIRTUAL GIMBAL SYSTEM for model autogyros.     I originally worked this out in 1952 while developing the preliminary design of a one-man,  tip-jet helicopter.
Fortunately for my health and well-being,  that project did not get past the mock-up stage,  but I always thought it might be applicable to small gyrocopters with overhead control  (joystick).    Seems to be worth sharing with GyroNuts to see what they come up with to minimize transfer of rotor disk loads and vibration to our servo gear trains.
I am experimenting with variations on these themes such as three or four links in a pyramidal array with u-joints at the ends for angular motion freedom,  while retaining torsional rigidity.
