Cierva C.30A direct control sport scale model, designed by
Emilio Cabezas, Madrid, Spain
These are excellent plans designed by GyroNUT Emilio Cabezas, and
drawn by Paco Sanchez An experienced modeler should be able to
build from the plans. While no instructions are available, the plans are complete and easy to follow. This is an excellent flying autogyro featuring
a single TEETER BAR rotor , and employs both pitch & bank rotor tilting, with rudder assist, ROG or hand launchable.
Two sheets, 40" rotor, profile
fuselage, powered by a .20 engine. Emilio reports that
this model, when built light, has been flown with the power of just a
.15. One (slightly heavier ) version is currently flying with a .25
engine. When building this model, consider making allowance for an
engine up-grade if found necessary due to (1) your building
ability (2) The altitude of your flying field. For some excellent
photos of this model, click here.
This plan is now only available with English translated labeling.

"Hannan`s
Runway" Has plans for several neat little Rubber
band Autogyros... Our friend and fellow GyroNut "JoJo" Chaulet has had
his hand in the design of several of them... They are not R/C, but
the`re facinating, fun, and well worth the effort.... If
interested, simply click on Bill Hannan`s Runway at the top to visit his web

"GYRACE", .40, twin rotor on tips
of small wing, great flyer & easy
to build. British design.
NOTE: We
have been told that Bob is now selling 'laser' cut parts for the "GYRACE".....
If you consider building a Gyrace from the plans, you may be
interested in some suggested changes to
the model that improve it`s performance....
More great photos of modified Gyraces are available by clicking here. An
excellent beginner model.
"AL`s
Gyro", .40, dual rotors on a single shaft
(co-axial). Excellent British design. Possibly a
good beginning model for a modeler with some R/C experience.
"Chippewa
Four", .50 to.60, single teetering rotor controlled in pitch by
servo.
Larger 63 inch rotor, weighs 5 lb., and has a rather complex rotor hub,
but would
make a very interesting model to build and fly. British
design.

model. Plan # FSP 03931...

"DC
GYRO". by Emilio Cabezas .25 powered,
3 channel, single rotor direct control autogyro.
Excellent model even for the relative beginner to
autogyros. Suggested reading: Emilio`s article
on this model in the January '98 issue of RCModeler magazine.
RCM Plan # 1244, and the last price we noted from RCM is $6.50 plus
shipping...
"WHISTLER" a neat teeter-bar model by John Kallend.
.25-.40, single rotor, a little more involved in building & flying.
This is a single, teeter bar rotor (40") model, using anything from a
strong .25 to an average .40, and would be a super model for someone with some
R/C experience. The machining of the aluminum rotor
system is required. The Kit that was offered many years ago
is no longer available.
RCM Plan # 1116
"Gyro Falcon", .35 to .45, dual rotors on a single shaft, fairly
easy to build,
can be a challenge to fly, and is similar to "Al`s Gyro" in fight
characteristics. Gyronut experience with the Gyro Falcon and Al`s
Gyro show that a small "winglet" is virtually necessary for flight
stabilization.
Note: requires a Falcon 56 model airplane model airplane for
conversion. Plan #1001
"Super Libelle", .19 to .25, single rotor model. looks
interesting, but we have no personal experience with this model.
Plan #708
"Rotoruta", 1/2A (.051), dual rotors mounted on small
"winglets". 24" span, rudder only model. This appears to
be an excellent first model, to gain some gyro experience. Could
possibly be converted to have throttle control. Plan #714
