R/C experience: Started flying R/C in January 1995,  first gyroflight in March 1995,  a Graupner Taxi trainer with a stub wing and rotors built of pine(!)   It flew,  but I crashed it after some 45 seconds.   After reading a lot about raynolds numbers and stuff like that,  I was convinced that the only way to achieve a nice low speed in model flight was to build a model autogyro.    Autogyros flown:  Four different own design twin rotor models with the same stub wing mentioned above,  but with different rotor designs,   latest model is called "Gyro" and flew in september 1999 for the first time with outriggers.
