"SPARKY.. a simple Electric Gyro"
A Direct Rotor (DC) controlled Electric Autogyro evolving from the original Simple-G (Glow model) and flight test tests of smaller Sparky 1 and 2.
This version
has an Astro 020 motor, with a 32" rotor and weighs about 20 ounces. The latest version will also accomodate the Graupner 480 Speed Geared 3,45:1 motor.
Plans are available that show the installation procedure for either motor.

Easy to build, light profile construction, no maching of metal parts, and can be built/modified for two different
motors.
Here is the simple new rotor hub parts.
It features 1/8" light plywood, 1/32" Polypropylene for the flapping hinge, model car bearings, and a few screws or bolts....
The control head also uses a central hinge of 1/32' Polypropylene.... and is also made of simple light ply parts.
