Bill`s son holds the popular "Silverbird" model, designed by Thomas Nathanson, and kitted in Sweden.
This model features a fully articulated rotor system, is powered by a .46 glow engine, and appears to have a one meter disk size...

The blades have a rather simple, yet unique lead-lag control device consisting of a silicone band ("gummis") around the root of the blade at the hub mounting.   This allows each blade to lead-lag, yet maintain the basic position of the blade for starting.
