"GOOFY-TOO" - a  An electric powered, synchronized dual rotor, Sport Autogyro designed & built by Jerry Holcomb.

One fine day at the Fern Prairie Modelers field, near Vancouver, Washington, a rowdy bunch of northwest gyroNUTS.... assembled to see Jerry`s latest creation.  On the left there`s Jerry, Lee Wayman is in the center background, and that`s nonother than Jack Moody trying to shrink out of sight on the right... Jack`s really not that small, he`s just praying that thing will fly?

In the foreground is Jerry`s new "Goofy-Too" (or "G-Too" as he frequently calls it) electric autogyro.

Jerry obviously prefers bright colored models...    I don`t have all the specs on this model, but I believe it is in the same size/weight category as his "GOOFY"  .15 glow powered autogyro.

Here it is on Take-off.... note the different appearance from the "normal" rotored gyro... the twin rotors synchronized at about 20-30 degrees to each other present an illusion that one must be aware of for good flight orientation.    The model was very stable beginning with the very first flight, and only minor control adjustments needed to be completed.

The the rotor gear bearing block.can be seen clearly in the left photo

The bottom of the fuselage..  The battery slot allows quick insertion/removal of the battery..

You can see the general shape paddle of the rotor blades...    Jerry used an excellent procedure of keeping the blades clear of where the mounting tangs pass very close together...

I believe this model is using a "Turbo 10" motor, with a 6 to 1 gear ratio, and a 12 x 8 propeller.

The final photo in the lower right shows the Bearing block and Pivot bolt being installed...

NOTE:  Jerry has converted this model to glow-power...  see the "new.. Goofy Too"  model  photos.
