Just as he always has in the past, fellow GyroNut Rick Anderson was a masterful host for this three day event near his home in Gosport, Indiana. Gyromodelers from all over, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Arizona, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Ontario (Canada) enjoyed wonderful mid-west hospitality while spending 3 days of "hot" summer flying in Martinsville, Indiana... southeast of Indianapolis.

Les Garber of Duluth, Minnesota brought his fantastic "Y2/squared" electric gyro (shown at the right). Les offers plans for this model, and if you have a way of having the head / hub machined of aluminum for you, this a model that is worth having around to enjoy flying...

One of the best examples of modifying a old established model is this large Whistler, built and flown by Art Titmarsh of Ontario, Canada. Dubbed "Whistler`s Mother" it was nearly twice the size of a standard Whistler, yet was very light and
was capable of hovering in the slightest breeze.

Here`s a shot of a few of the many modelers, and I`ll try to identify them as soon as I can, but in any case the fellow on the right in the yellow shirt is Bill Lehn, of Dayton, Ohio, and the red shirted fellow is Bill Friedlander, of Hudson, Wisconsin...

Here`s the old Master himself, Les garber.... about to demo his "catapult launched, self deploying, single rotor , gyro"
